Instructions for translators

Generic workflow:

  1. update locally the source strings with your favorite editor;
  2. extract locally the new or updated translations with the command: python manage.py makemessages -a --keep-pot -e html,txt,py,json (eventually to be executed in your Python virtual environment);
  3. commit locally and push your changes on GitHub;
  4. update/pull the project on Weblate (this step could be automatic);
  5. translate on Weblate;
  6. when ready, commit and push via Weblate user interface.

On a stable project (when source strings are almost fixed) you will most of the time start at step 4 or step 5.
