Instructions for translators

Feel free to improve the translations and create your account on translate.monarc.lu.
It is even possible to contribute, by commenting only, without an account on this Weblate instance.

Managing translations without the help of Weblate

Extract translations from the source code

Only if you need to extract your new translations locally on your computer:

$ poetry run pybabel extract -F mosp/translations/babel.cfg -k lazy_gettext -o mosp/translations/messages.pot mosp/

Edit a translation file

$ poedit mosp/translations/fr/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po

Of course, you can use Weblate Web interface.

Compile translations

If you update the source code of a running instance of MOSP you will need to re-compile mo files to po files:

$ poetry run pybabel compile -d mosp/translations

The auto-update script of MOSP is taking care of this.
